Frances Featherly

Frances Elizabeth Featherly, 76, of Duncan AZ passed away January 13, 2010. Frances was born on August 10, 1933, in Grand Rapids, Michigan to George Henry and Thelma Elizabeth Barrett. Later in life she met and married Carl T. Featherly They were blessed with 6 children Randy, Robert, Kathleen, Susan, Carol, and Christopher. Frances worked as an advocate for persons with disabilities; she was also a member of the Disabilities Advisory Counsel, and an active member of Developmental Disabilities Human Rights Committee of SE Arizona. She was always trying to assist others with disabilities. Frances loved hummingbirds, and enjoyed cross stitching as well. Frances raised her grandson Christopher Featherly, she adored her family very much and loved to spend time with them. Frances is preceded in death by her spouse of 51 years, Carl T. Featherly, and her son Randy Allen Sawyer. Frances is survived by her children, Kathleen M. Warren of AZ, Robert N. Sawyer of NE, Susan E. Rogers of TX, Carol Burns of TX, and Christopher G. Featherly of AZ; her siblings Robert Barrett, and Shirley Genung; 10 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, January 17, 2010 at the Desert Springs Community Fellowship in Safford at 3:00 p.m
