Francine "Frances" G. Hernandez of Safford passed away at her home with her family at her side on November 16, 2020. She was born on April 29, 1960, in Kansas City, Missouri to Higinio M. Cordova & Billie Joyce Cordova and siblings Barbara, Janice, Carole, Silvia, Olivia, and Linda.
When Frances was 15 years old, she participated in the Rose Bowl parade for hearing loss awareness, and later graduated from North Hollywood High School in 1978. She married Adrian Hernandez, and her children included Alicia Watson, Higinio Cordova, Jr., Stephanie Avila, Rudy Avila, and Alejandro Mendoza. She loved spending time in her garden and putting together scrapbooks.
She was often heard saying "never drive faster than your angels can fly". Frances loved everyone, was a devoted mother & spouse, and was very determined in everything she did.
Frances is survived by her children; Alicia Watson, Higinio Cordova, Jr., Stephanie Avila, Rudy Avila, and Alejandro Mendoza. She is also survived by her siblings Barbara Smith, Janice Coedova, Carole Duran, Linda Maret, Olivia Moreno, and Silvia Sigla, 8 Grandchildren, and her pets Princess, Bella, Kizzy, and Charlie.
She was preceded in death by her parents Billie Joyce Cordova & Higinio Cordova.
