Frank E. Fleming 1935 ~ 2009 Frank Edward Fleming, 73, our loving brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to everyone he met, died peacefully June 9, 2009 at his daughters home surrounded by family who loves and will miss him dearly. Born July 18, 1935 to Louis and Virginia Burris Fleming, the oldest of three children. He attended West High School until he joined the Navy where he served his time on the USS Taluga Navy Ship. Upon receiving his honorable discharge, he went to work for Louis Brothers Bussing Company. He later was employed by UTA where he loved his job, received many awards and made friends with everyone he met. He retired after 32 years. Being an outgoing, active person he couldnt sit home, so he went to work for Laidlaw, driving school bus for five years. Dad truly enjoyed life and loved being in the outdoors camping, fishing and boating with his kids. He was passionate about fast cars and enjoyed motorcycle rides with friends. One of his greatest joys came from watching and betting on his favorite football teams. Survived by his children: Debbie (Mark) Betzold, Idaho; Russ (Gay) Fleming, West Valley City; Suzie (Randy) Hokanson, Star Valley, WY; Randy Fleming, Salt Lake City; Candy (Devan) Johnson, Sandy; Marie Dowd, West Valley City; Terry (Kris) Fleming, West Valley City; Shayla Bradshaw, St. George; 22 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters: Bonnie (Gayson) Blight, West Jordan; Sharon (Mike) Westberg, West Valley City; many nieces, nephews and extended family that will miss him dearly. Preceded in death by his parents. Our family expresses great appreciation to Rita, Sarah, Sharee and the Bristol Hospice team for their fine care and support. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2009, 7:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where friends and family may visit, 6-7 p.m. Interment will take place Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
