Frank C. Jessup Mr. Harmonica Man Frank Cleon Jessup, 78, passed away June 22, 2009 from causes incident to age. He was born in Pioche, Lincoln Co., Nevada, July 22, 1930 to Frank Kelsey and Rose Limb Jessup. He married Suzanne Hickenhooper June 12, 1958 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; she passed away April 15, 1991 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He attended Pioche Elementary School, Belknap Elementary in Beaver, Utah and graduated from Beaver High School. He attended the B.A.C., now known as Southern Utah University for a year. The death of his father brought him back to Adamsville to take care of his mother on the family farm. He served an LDS mission in the North Central States, and then was inducted into the US Army infantry, serving as a field radio mechanic in Berlin Germany from January 1954 through December 1955. He was a journeyman carpenter in Las Vegas when he met his first wife. He worked in the construction industry and as a superintendent for the Bud Bailey Construction Co., where he was responsible for numerous building projects throughout the United States. On the Wasatch Front, some of his projects include Skyline High School, two Golden Living Centers and the Sandy Shopping Mall. Their firstborn son, Frank Wallace Jessup, died soon after birth, and two other sons were born thereafter, Jeffery Karl Jessup and Norman Jay Jessup. Four years after Suzannes death, Frank married his second sweetheart, Carol Lynne Young Beck, in the Jordan River Temple on April 22, 1995. He has been a wonderful stepfather to her children, John M. Beck, JaNae Beck (Edward) Lewis, Tiffany Beck (Craig) Olsen and Adam S. Beck. Frank is much-loved for his generous, kind and wise heart. He has been known best these last years as an enthusiastic harmonica player, sharing his talent almost everywhere he went. His associates have been the Taylorsville Harmonica Club and The Old Time Fiddlers Association. He is survived by his wife, Lynn; sons, stepsons and stepdaughters; 17 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, David and Sheldon Jessup; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. The family is grateful for the support and conscientiousness of all those that have cared for Frank in the Garden Terrace Care Center.
