Frank Naccarati, 85, long-time resident of Morenci, passed away in his Verde Lee home on Monday, June 22, 2009. Born in Globe on July 22, 1923, to Carmelo and Matilda Naccarati, he was raised in Morenci. After graduating from Morenci High School, Frank served in the Navy during WWII. Then, he attended ASU where he met Margaret Marge Thompson, and they were married in 1948. The couple moved to Morenci where they raised their 3 sons. It is hard to talk about Frank without thinking about their family-owned Service Station. Originally owned by their father, Frank and Joe took ownership in the 1950s and served the community with hard work and integrity until 2006. Frank loved his growing family and enjoyed many activities with them: camping, quail and dove hunting, and spending time on the San Francisco River. Marge passed away in 1982. Many years later, Frank married Lillian Craig who passed away a few years ago. Frank was a valuable member of the community and will be missed by the many people who knew him. Frank is survived by his sons, Mike (Linda) Naccarati of Pima, David (Shona) Naccarati of Tucson, John (Jan) Naccarati of Morenci, 6 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters Frances Naccarati and Mary Daniel both of Clifton. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marge, brother Joe Naccarati, and granddaughter Natalie.
