Fred Lambert

Fred Ivan Lambert 1927 ~ 2008 Fred passed away May 7, 2008 in West Valley City, Utah of causes incident to age. Born June 29, 1927 to Charles Ivan and Henrietta (Reta) Taylor Lambert. He graduated from West High School in 1944. He served in the US Navy during WWII. Later served an LDS mission in the New England States. Fred married Kathryn Harmon September 22, 1949 in the Salt Lake Temple. He is the father of eight children, has 25 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Fred worked for Hercules for 15 years, owned his own appliance repair business and was a jack of all trades. He was an active member of the LDS Church and served in various church callings. Fred had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to do magic tricks for his grandchildren. Survived by his wife, Kathryn; sons: Gary (Gloria) and Douglas (Deralyn); daughters: Kara (Dave) McKean, Kathee, Vicki (Wayne) Hinckley, Linda and Renee (Roland) Schiffler; brother, David T. (Carroll) Lambert. Preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sherri. Funeral services will be held Monday, 11:00 a.m. at the Granger 6th Ward, 3274 South Hillsdale Drive (2760 W.). A viewing will be held Sunday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Monday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
