Fred Wesley, 67 of Bylas, passed away on October 3, 2019 at the hospital in Bylas, AZ. He was born on December 3, 1951 in Safford, AZ to Clarence Wesley & Alice Logan Wesley with siblings; Norwyn, Kathy, Phyllis & John.
Fred graduated from Ft. Thomas High School in 1969. In 1971, Fred joined the United States Army until being honorably discharged in 1973. Fred worked as a farm manager and in 1996, he attended the University of Arizona, to continue his education. He married June Roberts on November 6, 2016 in Bylas, AZ raising his children Lorraine, Ivan, Caroline and Joyce.
He was a devout horseman and loved training & working with his horses. Both Fred and his wife June enjoyed attending Pow Wows and roping together. He was a member of the San Carols Apache Tribe Veteran's Association, the Arizona Territorial Gourd Society, the Ash Creek Cattle Association and the Southwest Gourd Society.
Fred leaves behind his loving wife June L. Wesley, his children Lorraine Wesley-Dosela, Ivan Wesley, Caroline Wesley and Joyce Wilson, his siblings Norwyn Wesley, Kathy Wesley-Kitcheyun, Phyllis Wesley and John Wesley, 20 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren and his dogs; Sadie, Jeri, Chewy and Thor, his beloved horses; Yawah, Zona and Reba and his parakeet Pinky.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Alice Wesley.
A wake for Fred will be held on Monday, October 7, 2019 at 4:00 a.m. at the Wesley residence with the funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Wesley Family Plot in the Black Point Cemetery following services.
