Gary Michael Brown, 66, of Pima, passed away April 1, 2018. He was born April 12, 1951 in Burlington, North Carolina to Richard Carman & Nellie Simmons Brown.
Gary served his country by joining the U.S. Army in the early 70's, serving until his release in 1977. He then began working as a truck driver and in 1982 he married Lynette Price. Together they had five children; Stephanie, Richard, Holly, Roger and Kelly.
He loved classic cars and really loved to cook. Gary was extremely happy when he became a grandpa. He was known for his great sense of humor, being fun to be around and always laughing and joking with others. He was dearly loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him and will be greatly missed by all.
One of his favorite quotes is John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
He is survived by his loving wife Lynette, his children; Stephanie Clifford, Richard Brown, Holly Huish, Roger Brown and Kelly Brown, his siblings; Jimmy Brown, Tommy Brown, Tammy Brown and Misty Lynn Hughes and 19 Grandchildren.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents Richard Carman & Nellie Evelyn Brown.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the Thatcher Park, all are encouraged to attend.
