Gayle Clonts

Gayle Eileen Clonts, 80, of Safford, entered into rest with her family at her side, Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center. Gayle was born in Safford on November 20, 1933 to Haywood West and Madge Layton West. She was the only girl in a house full of boys. Gayle graduated from Safford High School. On March 25, 1951 Gayle married the love of her life, Dale Clonts and together they raised four children, Randal, Dana, Teri and Rick. Gayle was a loving homemaker and wife but her passion was serving the Lord and ministering to people. In 2008 she was awarded the Fathers of Faith Lifetime Achievement Award. The greatest moments in her life were the day she came to know Jesus as Savior and the day she married her lifelong friend, sweetheart and partner in ministry, Dale. Gayle is survived by her husband of 63 years, Dale, and her children Randal(Diane) Clonts, Dana(Rick) Doshier, Teri(Wade) Lineburger and Rick (Debbie) Clonts all of Safford. Siblings: Johnny West of Willcox, Eddie Layton of Globe, and Howard West of Safford, 14 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Gayle was preceded in death by her parents Madge and Haywood West and her brother Phillip West. Because Gayle loved ministering to people about the Lord, it would be her desire that any gift would go to support the missionaries of the church. Hwy 191, Safford, AZ. Family are friends are invited to a potluck luncheon following the services.
