Gene C. Westerman Its All About Me I was born December 13, 1932 in the Charity Ward of the old Salt Lake County Hospital, to Sidney Jonathan and Mary Sturm Westerman, the last of their nine children. My mother always told me it was a difficult birth, which is why I was so difficult to raise. I grew up in Garfield and Magna where I graduated from Cyprus High School. I served in the US Army from 1953-55. I could have escaped the draft but was too dumb to do so. Oh, what the hell, at least I got to help save the world. I worked at several different jobs, some of which I liked and enjoyed, as I did most of the people at all of them. I finally gave up the one-sided fight with the forces of mortality and died January 3, 2010. No heroic battle here. You just cant win. I was preceded in death by my parents; my beloved sisters and brothers: Dorothy (Clarence) Henline, Afton (Leo) Trueblood, Mildred (Harley) Benson, Donald Westerman, Gale (Phyllis) Westerman, Jack (Melba) Westerman, Samuel (Barbara) Westerman; and many other family members and friends, all of whom I cherish and will miss forever. I am survived by my dear brother, Lynn (Judy) Westerman, Antioch, TN; and many deeply loved nieces, nephews, friends and acquaintances. I hope they remember me kindly. At my request there will be no funeral services or other celebration of my demise. Disposal by cremation, from which I may go to CSI as fingerprint dusting powder. Well, all good things must end. I am out of here! Thanks, Bonnie, for everything. Under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home.
