Genevieve Arguello Martinez 1932 ~ 2007 The most beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, full of strength and beauty fighting to her last breath, passed away on August 10, 2007. She was born November 15, 1932, in Monte Vista, Colorado to Abelardo Arguello and Elisa Sandoval. She married John Cruz, later divorced; married Flavio J. Martinez who preceded her in death. Our mother was a deeply strong woman who taught us to never give up, always hold our head high at the most troubled times, that life will always get better, and God is always watching over us. Survived by her wonderful family, daughters, Rosalee (Lorenzo) Torres, Diana Bugarin; son, Samuel Martinez. She raised two of her grandchildren, Jackie Romero and Miguel Charbonier. She has 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her daughter, Juanita Janette Cruz Santana. Mom, rest in peace. Our wounds will start to heal. We look forward to our reunion. A private family viewing will be held and a Rosary and Memorial Mass will take place at a later time at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 3580 West 3650 South, under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home.
