George Schumaker

George W. Schumaker, Jr, 78 of Safford passed away on October 13, 2009, at his home after a brief illness. George was born August 2, 1931, in Indianapolis, IN to Hazel and George W Schumaker, Sr. He married Nancy Lou Rice on December 30, 1950. Many people will remember George working as a TV & Radio Technician at Greens Western Auto, and later owning Schumaker TV Service on Saffords Main Street. George lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed spending time with his family riding horses, camping, fishing and traveling. He will truly be missed by those who knew and loved him. George was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Nancy Lou. He is survived by his 4 children: Trey (Beth) of Spencer, IN; Linda (Scott) Oster of Silver Bay, MN; Cindi Erickson and Louis (Stephanie) of Safford; 7 grandchildren: Timmy, Jessie and Jill of IN, Kris of WA, Kendan and Paizlee of Safford; 5 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mary Frances and Elizabeth out of state also survive. A memorial service will be held Friday, October 16th at 10 a.m. in the Caldwell Funeral Chapel. A reception will follow after the service at the home of Luis Schumaker
