Gerald Tipsword

Gerald Laverle Tipsword, 75, of Safford, passed away June 5, 2013 in Tucson, Arizona. Gerald was born on February 22, 1938 to Glenna and Rheba Tipsword. He served in the United States Air Force in the Korean War. Throughout Geralds career, he worked as a teacher, hospital administrator and in April, 2000, was appointed as the Director for the Greenlee County Chamber of Commerce. He loved to play the point guard in basketball and could watch and talk about basketball all day long. Gerald is preceded in death by his parents, Glenna and Rheba Tipsword. Gerald is survived by wife, Robin; sister, Darlene Sheats; children, Dabney Nunley, Geric Tipsword, Giles Tipsword, Linda Tootle, Clifford Perkins, Rachel Sarver, Steven Tipsword, Thomas Sain, Aaron Sarver, Gerri Tipsword, Tommy Perkins and numerous grandchildren. A viewing will be conducted on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. , with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Caldwell Funeral Chapel. Military Honors will be at 12:00 p.m. at Caldwell Funeral Chapel.
