Gertrude VandenAkker Frame Aunt Trudy 1912 ~ 2008 Trudy passed away peacefully on December 18, 2008, surrounded by loving family. Born March 14, 1912 to Leonard and Marie Unck VandenAkker in Salt Lake City. Married Owen Webster Frame on June 26, 1935 in the Salt lake Temple. Her life of service began early, when her mother passed away leaving her the oldest daughter of a family of nine children. She blessed the lives of many, with her special pies, good dinners, parties and family traditions. Trudy was an active member of the LDS Church, having served as RS President, and served twenty years as a temple worker. She and her beloved husband, Owen, spent time together riding horses, deer hunting, and grooming their yard. Trudy and Owen were the owners and operators of the White Spot Lunch Caf for 26 years. Survived by brothers, John, Dick and Melvin; sisters, Marietta Buma, Leona Telford. Preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Leonard; sisters, Henrietta Benedict and Kay Woodruff. Funeral services will be Monday, December 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Riverview Ward, 1400 West 4800 South. A viewing will be held on Sunday from 5-7 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and on Monday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the Church. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
