Gladys Ewell

Gladys Fae Ewell 1925 ~ 2010 Our beloved Matriarch passed away Friday, April 9, 2010. Born January 12, 1925 in Murray, Utah, daughter of Alfred Alfonzo and Mary Edna Elkins. Married Richard P. Ewell April 2, 1942; solemnized February 9, 1966 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mom was a breast cancer survivor of 9 years. She was a Sunbeam Primary teacher for 20 years and taught Sunday School before that. She loved her travels to Germany and Disneyland, where her favorite ride was Splash Mountain, and the boat races in Idaho Falls. She loved scrap booking, fishing, camping, hunting and the Jazz. Survived by daughters: Jean Jones, Connie (Philip) Massey, Kathy Ewell (Ron Martinez); sons: Keith (Lisa) Ewell, Richard Ewell and Robert Ewell; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a great-great grandchild; and many friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 16, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where viewings will be held Thursday, 6-8 p.m. and Friday, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
