Gladys Stretz

Gladys Knudsen Stretz Gramme Gladys Knudsen Stretz died April 20, 2008 of heart failure. Born March 25, 1927 in Brigham City, Utah, daughter of Hans and Bessie Knudsen. Proud of her Danish heritage. Married to Jack Warren Stretz for nine years; he preceded her in death at a young age. She raised their three precious daughters with the constant help of Heavenly Father. Always prayerful, optimistic, determined, independent, creative, loving and kind. She lived to dance and was known for her sewing talent, energy and desire to attend every social event. She never sat idle. Family always came first. Member of LDS Church. Served faithfully in many church callings. Employed at Beehive Clothing 23 years. Dedicated worker at Jordan River Temple. She loved the members of the Taylorsville 24th Ward. Everyone was her friend. Survived by daughters: Teresa (Richard) Osguthorpe, Salt Lake City; Janice (Barry) Barney, West Valley City; Jill (Gary) Lamph, Las Vegas, NV; so proud of her grandchildren: Jamie, Jaclyn, Jessica, Rachel, Sara, Daniel and Taggert; great-granddaughter, Lily; sisters: Ann Phelps, Salt Lake City; Phyllis Dorion, Santa Barbara, CA. Also preceded in death by siblings: Viola Poulsen, Glenn Knudsen, Blanche Norton, Edna Bell, Ruth Ellsworth, Henry Knudsen, Ruby Rupp, LaDine Christensen. Funeral services will be held Friday, 12:00 noon at the Taylorsville 24th Ward, 2976 West 4270 South. A viewing will be held Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Friday at the church, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Brigham City Cemetery.
