Glennis Rae Williams 19452010 Our loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister, daughter and friend returned to our Heavenly Father, and into the open arms of her loving husband, M. Bruce Williams, on June 5, 2010, after her 20 year battle with Alzheimers. She was born January 5, 1945 to Clarence and Ina Taylor in Hurricane, UT, later adopted by Royal and HayDee Averett of Mt. Pleasant UT. There she grew up and received many awards and was crowned queen of Mt. Pleasant. She went on to college receiving her teaching degree from USU. She married her sweetheart July 11, 1969, later being sealed to him and their children in the Salt Lake Temple July 11, 1980. Her greatest joys were raising her five children and being the neighborhood mom. Preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Williams; biological parents; adopted parents; sister, Viola Taylor; brothers, Clarence, Ralph and Joseph Taylor. Survived by her children: Robert (Laurie), Richard (Gerlinda), Nancy (Philip), Vickie (Terry), Mary (Chuck); 15 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings: Garland Taylor, Bruce Hall, Evelyn Holt, Roy Averett and Judy Pierce. We would like to thank the loving staff of the Canyon Rim Care Center who became a part of our family, and special thanks to Bristol Hospice for making her final days comfortable. Funeral services will be held Thursday June 10, 2010, 12:00 noon in the Callie Chapel, 7150 S. Callie Dr (1520 W.) Viewings will be held Wednesday June 9, 2010, 6-8 pm at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road Salt Lake City, UT and Thursday at the church,11-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
