Gordon Delmas Anderson Together Again Our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Gordon Delmas Anderson, age 96, passed away October 28, 2010 in Holladay, Utah. Born May 18, 1914 in Layton, Utah, to Francis Edward and Clara Rachael Winberg Anderson. He was the middle child of thirteen children. He had a good relationship with them all. Gordon was raised in Layton and Sugar House. He loved golf and played the game as often as he could. He was a caddy at the Salt Lake Country Club for several years and loved learning from the golfing greats. He married Kathryn Christina Little on Easter day, April 12, 1936. They invited their best friends to picnic with them in Big Cottonwood Canyon. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She was the love is his life and together they had six children. Gordan and Kay raised five of their children in Salt Lake City until a business opportunity took them to Jerome, Idaho, where the last child, Janeen, was born. Janeen was born with Downs Syndrome and they loved and nurtured her, along with her siblings, until her death. They were such good examples to all who knew them. They eventually returned to Utah, living in Kearns, where they formed lifetime friends. Dad was a hard worker and taught his sons to work. He never told anyone no who needed his help. We will miss him. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served faithfully. Our family would like to thank the staff of Holladay Healthcare for taking such wonderful care of him. He loved living there and would often say, I cant believe I live here. Everyone is so good to me. Survived by his children: Kathryn J. (Dee) Allred, Delmas LeRoy (Linda) Anderson, Craig Anderson, Birdie (Steve) Whitney; 22 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; sisters, Elaine Kosof and Beatrice Rees.
