Grace Elizabeth Morrison (Orth) was born March 29th, 1934 to Elwood Henry Orth and Grace Maude Griswold Orth in Phoenix, Arizona. She passed away November 25th, 2018 at the Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center.
Grace met and married J.W. Morrison in April 1954. In this union they had three children. One of her greatest passions was teaching children, so while raising her own she decided to go back to school to get her degree at Arizona State University (she was a huge fan.) While at Arizona State University she was a member of the Eastern Star.
She taught at Cartwright School district for 20 years. Her other passions in life were the great outdoors where she really enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. She also enjoyed bowling and traveling. The love she had for her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter was out of this world. The love she had for her dog Sparky was like having a fourth child.
Grace is survived by her sons Jay (Jan), Don (Sherrie), daughter Shirley, grandsons David and D.J. (Angel), great-granddaughter Molly Rose as well as several nieces, nephews, two sisters-in-law Dorothy and Nancy and good friends Joe and Regina Bell.
She is preceded in death by her husband J.W. and her grandson Randy Morrison as well as several brothers and sister-in-law Betty.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018 beginning at 2:00 p.m. followed by the funeral services at 3:00 p.m at the McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel.
Interment will be in the Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery located at 719 N. 27th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85009, on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
