Harold Lehman Last Vacation Harold August Lehman passed away on December 2, 2009 after many years of health related problems. Harold loved to travel and has taken his final vacation to be with loved ones who have gone before. He was born to Amanda Gerber and August Lehman Jr. in Salt Lake City on May 15, 1937. As a young boy he was inflicted with polio. A disease he was not expected to live through. With hourly care from his mother, along with a Bishops blessing, he survived. He worked at Hill Air Force Base as a computer programmer and systems analyst for 32 years. After retiring, he worked at Wal-Mart putting bikes together for 17 years, a job he loved and one that he shared with his grandchildren. His passions were BYU sports, especially football, traveling, cruising, boating, gardening, fishing and was an avid reader and shared that passion with his granddaughter. His favorite vacation spot was Lake Powell watching his grandchildren enjoy the outdoors. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, holding various callings in the Elders Quorum, Bishopric and most recently as a Gospel Doctrine Teacher. Harold loved his family and leaves behind his wife Margitta (Margie) his children Michelle (Wade), Steven (Pam), Lynette, Christine (Dave), his grandchildren Holly (Brock), Kylee, Alexa, Jessika, and Michael. He also leaves behind a sister Doris (Ron) and a brother Robert (Janice), as well as many nieces and nephews. Also survived by his favorite cat Glacier. A special thanks to his nurse Dee Horn and Ed Arranda with Millcreek Home Health Care for taking care of him this past year.
