Harry Paul Woodcox 1932 - 2006 Harry Paul Woodcox passed away April 13, 2006 in Salt Lake City after a lengthy battle with cancer. Harry was born on Nov 21, 1932 to Ella Fae Clays and Paul Kruger Woodcox in Salt Lake City. He attended schools in Salt Lake City, graduating from East High School in 1951 and the University of Utah in 1955 with a BS degree in Civil Engineering. During his college years he worked summers in Grand Teton National Park. He met his sweetheart Marilyn Corey in a geology class at the U. They were married on September 2, 1955 in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Harry worked for the Wyoming Highway Department and was a licensed professional engineer. In 1980 he earned an MBA degree from the University of Wyoming. He spent the last 15 years of his career as the District Civil Engineer for Southeastern Wyoming. He retired from the department after 33 years of service, but continued his civil engineering career as a professor at the University of Wyoming. He returned to Salt Lake City in 1989. Harry was a High Priest in the Sunridge Ward in Sandy, Utah, and especially enjoyed doing genealogy work. He was a dedicated and conscientious worker in the Family Records Extraction Program. Harry enjoyed sports, outdoor activities, traveling, family history, family gatherings, carpentry, leatherwork and model building. He was an exceptional baseball player and bowler and taught these skills to all his children. His family was the most important part of his life and he dedicated himself to his wife, children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Marilyn, a daughter Susan Hill (Jim), sons David (Becky), Terry (Debbie), Scott (Susanne), and Bryan (Kathy), 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, sister Carol Pulliam (John) and brothers Jerry (Sue) and Joe (Sandy). He was preceded in death by his sisters Pauline Memmott, Shirley Woodcox and brother Bill Woodcox. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at 11am at the Alta View Stake Center, 1850 East 8600 South in Sandy. A viewing will be held on Monday, April 17, 2006 from 6-8pm at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and at the Alta View Stake Center one hour prior to services. Interment, American Fork City Cemetery.
