Harvey Clyde Walton Clyde Harvey Clyde Walton, age 85, passed away July 8, 2009 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born December 25, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Harvey LeeVon and Adella Dean Mauss Walton. Married Violet Ann Ballew Walton April 30, 1954 in Pomona, California; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death January 15, 1986. He was an active member of the LDS Church serving in various callings, most recently as a temple worker in the Jordan River Temple, a Trainer at the Provo SMTC and Ward Family History Representative. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Army in Europe and enjoyed reunions with his old army buddies. Retired after 32 years with IBM. Enjoyed working on his computer and used it to benefit others. Survived by children: Debra Lynn Walton Huntsman (Drew), Magna, UT, Cindy Diane Walton Day (Keith), West Jordan, UT, Becky LeeAnn Walton Barnes,West Valley City, UT, Cheryl Janine Walton Cochran, Sandy, UT, Tracie Eileen Walton Johansen, Granbury, TX, Jeffrey Scott Walton (Kris), Kearns, UT, Paul Darin Walton, Taylorsville, UT, Matthew Glenn Walton, Taylorsville, UT, and Lori Deanne Walton Gatchel (Mike), Colorado Springs, CO; 25 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, two sisters: Betty Naydean Walton Derbidge (Tom), Salt Lake City, UT; Phyllis Doreen Walton Hillestad (Dean), Lacey, WA. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 13, 2009, 10:00 a.m. at the Paradise Ward, 1555 Lovely Road, Taylorsville, UT. Friends may call Sunday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Redwood Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Monday at the church, 9-9:45 a.m. prior to services. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the LDS Church Humanitarian Aid Fund. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park, West Valley City.
