Haynes Moore Thomas Haynes Moore, Jr. June 9, 1931-August 27, 2014 Haynes passed away unexpectedly on August 27, 2014 at the age of 83 in Safford, AZ. He was born to Thomas Haynes Moore, Sr. and Marguerite Moore in Tyler, TX and has a younger sister, Katheryn. He went to school in Holdenville, OK until the family moved to Willcox, AZ in 1947, where he graduated from Willcox High School. In Willcox, he met and married Irene Neal, and they had three daughters, Gail, Dian and Jeanine. The family moved to Safford, AZ in 1956 where Haynes worked for Safford Builders Supply for many years. Haynes was a hard worker and an entrepreneur who built and operated car washes and self storage units in Safford and Willcox. In 1972, he married Susan Ballard, and adopted her son Andy and later his grandson Tim. For nine years he was on the Graham County Board of Supervisors, and he was also a Realtor for Casa del Sol Realty. He was a lifelong member of the Elks Club, and recently owned a pool cleaning business. He had a great sense of humor and a compassionate heart, always ready to help friends and family. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Safford. He enjoyed people, was an avid sports fan and loved playing cards with his friends. Haynes was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by wife Susan of Safford, son Andy and grandson Tim of Safford, daughters Gail Morgan (Cliff ) of Phoenix, Dian Moore (Paul Daniels) of Tucson, Jeanine Ray (Jerry) of Ahwatukee and grandson Josh Ray and his family of Mesa. He is also survived by his sister Kitty Greenly of Yuma, nieces Rita (Jan) Schmitt of Yuma, Kathy (Emmitt) Myers of Twin Falls, ID, nephew Robby Shaver of Yuma and five cousins in Texas. Haynes had many friends, and both his friends and family will miss him greatly. A celebration of his life is planned for a later date.
