Herbert Franklin Rope, 75, of Bylas entered into rest on April 27, 2012. Herbert, known by all as Sha' Da' Boy, was born on September 19, 1936 in San Carlos, Arizona to Turner and Viola Rope. As a youth Herbert attended the Bylas Day School. He was a member of the Lutheran Church. By trade Herbert was a rancher and was employed by the San Carlos Apache Tribe Cattle Association. He loved being with his family and playing Solitary. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Nellie Rope and ten of his siblings. He is survived by his sisters, Dorothy Cheney and Anna Interpreter; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
