Herminia "Minnie" Pauline Lopez, 74, of Thatcher, entered into rest the morning of April 24, 2018 in Tucson, Arizona. Minnie was born to her parents, Rosendo & Ramona Casillas, on June 22, 1943 in Tiger, Arizona.
Minnie was the oldest of 12 children, who were born and raised in Oracle, Arizona and surrounding areas. She lived a life dedicated to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She worked at various locations, but she often said her most important and rewarding job was caring for her family, which was also her most cherished accomplishment.
She had many talents. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting, and recently learned to quilt. She also liked bragging about her 39 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Minnie is survived by 9 siblings; Bertha Hennemen of Oracle, Clara Salas of Mammoth, Felix (Maco) Casillas of Oracle, Lupe Altamirano of Oracle, Josephine Grijalva of Oracle, Ysidro Casillas of Oracle, Leonore (Lilly) Casillas of Oracle and Thomas Casillas of Mammoth.
She is preceded into heaven by her parents, and 2 of her siblings, Anita Moreno and Rosendo Casillas, Jr.
Services will be held on Friday, May 4th starting with the recitation of the Rosary at 10:00 a.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with Father Robert Rodriguez as celebrant. A luncheon will be held after the Mass at the Women's Center in Safford.
