Ignacio Castro

Ignacio "Nacho" Castro, 75, of Safford, entered into rest on Monday, February 28, 2011, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 31, 1935 to Simon Q. Castro and Macedonia C. Orante in Safford. Nacho was known as a rancher and carpenter to many in the Gila Valley. He loved his family dearly and love to spend time with them, especially hunting and fishing. He will be missed greatly by all of them. Nacho is survived by his wife Clara of Safford; their children, Ignacio Jr.(Patricia)Castro, Maria (the late Mike) Castro, Eddie Castro, Debbie (Danny) Gonzales, Bobby (Myra) Castro, Susan Castro & Dick Heyle,Cecilia (Marvin) Guana, Tony Castro, and Chris Castro. Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 7, 2011 at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Safford, with Rev. Father Edward Lucero officiating. Viewing will be on Sunday, March 6, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. with Rosary being recited at 7 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Safford Cemetery.
