Irene Thatcher Allen 1952 ~ 2008 Irene Thatcher Richmond Brooksby Allen, age 55, passed away due to a sudden illness on January 7, 2008 at home. Born September 27, 1952 in Panguitch, Utah, the 5th of 12 children, to George Alma and Elda Marie Pope Thatcher. Irene lived most of her adult life in the Uintah Basin where she married Gary Richmond, later divorced; married Greg Brooksby, later divorced. Married Robert Allen on November 1, 1997. Survived by her husband, Robert; sons, Gregory and Trevor Brooksby; stepchildren: Ted Brooksby, Tony Brooksby, Brenda Brooksby Dickens, Landon Brooksby, Alvin Allen, Sadie Allen Taylor; mother, Elda and stepfather, Gene Lewis; sisters, Marian, Janet and Sandy; brothers, Dennis, Eldon, Tom, Kent, Orlan, Ted, Clinton and Jim. Preceded in death by her father, George. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 12, 2008, 12:00 noon at the Duchesne 1st Ward, 150 South 300 East, where a viewing will be held on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday 11-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Duchesne Cemetery. Services under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home.
