Iris Taylor

Iris A. Taylor of Safford, passed away December 21, 2018 at the age of 90. She was born May 2, 1928 in Bloomington, Illinois to Stuart Schad & Hazel Funk Schad joining her brother Alvin. Iris graduated from Bloomington High School in 1946 and began working as a secretary /bookkeeper. She married Hollis Taylor in April of 1952 and they were blessed with 4 children, Sheila,Timothy, David & Paul. The family moved around the country for work and ended up in Arizona 61 years ago. She loved to go square dancing with Hollis and traveling with her family. Iris was a hard worker and was very frugal with her money but was also very loving to those around her. Iris is survived by her children Tim & Paul Taylor, 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Hollis Taylor, her daughter Sheila Kelly and her son David Taylor. A viewing will be held on Friday, December 28th beginning at 9:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at the McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Safford Cemetery after services conclude.
