Iva Phillips-Derrick

Iva May Phillips Derrick of Safford entered into rest on January 29, 2020, at 63 years of age. She was born on June 16, 1956, in San Manuel, Arizona to Donald Eugene Phillips & Carrol Lee Mayfield Phillips with siblings Terrel James Harris, Perry Wayne Harris, Silva Ruth Bristol, and Donald Ray Phillips. Iva attended school in San Manuel, AZ. She loved to go dancing, shooting, and sewing anything with the American flag. She married Glenn Christopher Derrick on January 2, 2010, joining their children; Michael Ray Phillips, Sr., Nichole Dawn Phillips, and Jason Lee Carrendar. Iva was very happy with the births of each of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a fun person who always laughed at a good joke. She was beautiful and admirable. She lived life to its fullest and was loved by all her family & friends. She was a treasure that is going to be truly missed by all. She is survived by her children; Michale Ray Phillips, Sr., Nichole Dawn Phillips, and Glenn Christopher Derrick, her siblings; Terrell James Harris, Perry Wayne Harris, Silva Ruth Bristol, and Donald Ray Phillips, 6 Grandchildren, and 12 Great-Grandchildren. Iva is preceded in death by Donald Eugene Phillips, Carrol Lee Mcgowan, and Jason Lee Carrendar. Services will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at the McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel beginning with a viewing at 10:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with interment in the Thatcher Cemetery.
