Jacquelin Hoisington

July 12, 1958 — March 29, 2025

Jacquelin Hoisington, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, left this world on March 29, 2025, in Safford, Arizona. Born on July 12, 1958, in Flagstaff, Arizona to Lanny & Donna Thomas, Jacquelin’s journey through life was marked by her remarkable spirit, strong faith, generosity, and unwavering love.

Jacquelin’s professional life was one of distinction, serving as the Chief Financial Officer for Open Loop Energy. Her dedication to her career was matched only by her passion for life. She graduated from school in Fruita, Colorado in 1976, laying the foundation for a future built on hard work and perseverance. Those who had the fortune of knowing her will remember not just her career accomplishments, including starting her own business and ranch, but also her vibrant personality. Jacquelin was known for her tough exterior, infectious sense of humor, and a smile that could brighten the darkest of days.

She possessed a boundless capacity for kindness, and her love knew no limits. A passionate horse lover, Jacquelin found joy in being surrounded by her animals, which included horses, cattle, chickens, dogs, mules, donkeys, and all the animals her sons brought home. Her interests also extended to quilting and spending time in the sun, activities that brought her closer to her family and grounded her in the beauty of everyday life.

Jacquelin was a proud matriarch, dedicated to her husband Charles Hoisington, with whom she shared 44 years of marriage. Together, they raised four sons: Garrett, Barton, Tate, and Wyatt. Her legacy lives on in her nine grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Jacquelin was often heard saying phrases that reflected her faith and outlook on life, such as, "Cowgirls don't cry," "Be still and know that I am God," "God is good," and "I am blessed."

In her battle against cancer, Jacquelin demonstrated extraordinary strength and resilience, defying all the odds for 12+ years. She fought a good fight, inspiring those around her to live boldly and cherish each moment. A memorial gathering in her honor will take place at Klondyke, AZ on April 3, 2025, at 1:00 PM.

Jacquelin Hoisington's spirit will forever be remembered in the hearts of those who knew her. Her laughter, toughness, faith, and dedication to family will echo in the lives she touched. As we gather to honor her life, we hold dear the memories of her kindness and the light she brought into our lives.
