James Lowe

James Lowe Gramps James Lowe, 66, passed away January 20, 2009 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born July 24, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah, son of Grant A. and Elizabeth Kramer Lowe. Married Anna Tootsie Abila July 18, 1964 in Pomona, CA. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and loved sports, hunting, fishing, camping, gambling and football. He knew no strangers ~ he could talk to anyone. He served in the US Navy. Retired after 33 years at Smurfit-Stone. Survived by wife, Anna; children: Tim (Jenny) Lowe, Tamara Lowe and Charlie (Emmie) Russom; 4 grandchildren: Robi, Britni, Brandon and Anna; sister, Janace Spear; brother, John Jack (Judy) Lowe; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Annie Darlene; brothers, Grant, and Rex. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2009, 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 7405 South Redwood Road. A celebration of life visitation will be held Monday, January 26, 2009, 6:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road with a Vigil Monday night at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Jims name to the building fund at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
