James Marion Stacy, Jim, 84, was born in Clifton, Arizona at his aunts home September 22, 1927 to Fred & Mary Stacy. Jim Met Florence Beauford in Clifton and after a short courtship they were married in the LDS church in Silver City, New Mexico. They lived at the ranch & raised their four children, Marion, Kathy, Tom & Berl. Jim was a honest, gentle, kind person. If he told you he would do something for you, it would be done. He was a very good rancher; he worked the land and made sure there was always water for all the animals. He was a loving person. While he always worked at the ranch he also worked on construction & at Phelps Dodge Corp in Morenci, AZ. He drove the big truck & worked on the cable crew. In May 1988, Jim was injured & his left knee was crushed. The doctors said he wouldnt ride again by he did & he could run also. He was determined he would get back to the ranch when he was healed. Jim & Florence bought the Coalson Ranch from his nephew Fred Stacy. It had belonged to his oldest brother Jesse & his other brother Kenny. Jim worked there ranch with his family until the time of his death. Even though he couldnt go to the ranch any more he was there to give advice.
