James "Jim" Windsor was born on March 15, 1931 in Bisbee, Arizona to Audrey and Leland Windsor. He entered into Heaven on February 3, 2017.
The family spent time in Idaho where his love for fishing began. He graduated from Bisbee High School. He was a busy student who was involved in sports, especially football, where he was part of an All-Star team.
After high school, he spent some time as an MP in the U.S. Air Force. He worked sometime with Phelps Dodge in Bisbee until an extended strike sent him to Monroe, Wisconsin to work on an assembly line for the Phillips Corporation. He never got used to the cold winters, so when he retired, he returned home to Arizona to be near family and the warm winters.
He took many courses at Eastern Arizona College including; jewelry making, faceting, water color painting and stained glass. He was an avid bowler, always bowling on a team with his brothers. The Windsor team was the team to beat.
Jim is survived by four brothers, Art (Betty) Windsor and Bill Windsor of Silver City NM and Lee (Frankie) Windsor, Bob (Maureen) Windsor and sister-in-law Sandy Windsor all of Safford and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his companion Judy Fisher.
