Jacqueline Casey (Jayci) Gilbert, age 22, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2012, at her home. She was born August 7, 1990 in Safford, AZ, to Andrew Jackson (Jack) Gilbert IV and Danielle Rebel Lee. She was a 2008 graduate of Pima High School and a current student at Eastern Arizona College studying Early Childhood Education. On October 17, 2010, Jayci's life changed forever when her son, Zayden Jack, was born. He was the light of her life and she truly loved being a mother. Her friends say she was a great listener and always had a way of lighting up the room and making them smile. She is survived by her son, Zayden Jack Tomaselli; her parents, Jack Gilbert and Danielle (Ray) Bench; one brother Jarett Clay Gilbert; two sisters, Morgan Elaine Hawkins and niece, Khloe, and Misty Dawn Hawkins and niece, Anisa; her grandparents, Jack and Shirley Gilbert; her nanny, Graciela Carrasco; her aunt, Susan (Peter) Vlassis and cousins, George and Steven. Family and friends whose lives Jayci touched are invited to McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Home, 112 East Main Street in Safford, on Wednesday, September 19th at 10a.m. for a memorial service to reminisce, grieve and support each other.
