Jean B. Taylor, 87, of Safford, quietly entered into eternal rest on June 12, 2017, just nine days after her beloved husband, Jess Irvin Taylor, at the Dobson Hospice of the Valley Home in Chandler, AZ. She was born May 21, 1930 in Bryce, AZ to Orie Ellis & Hilda Lenore Palmer Bryce. She married Irvin Taylor in the Mesa LDS Temple on April 11,1947 and they were blessed with five children; Lenore, Penny, Paul, Ruth and Tony. The couple just celebrated 70 years of marriage this last April. Near the end of raising their children, she went back to school and became an RN. Jean worked in a nursing home, a hospital and then as the school nurse at Thatcher Elementary School for 17 years. Jean had a deep faith and served in many ways in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She gave lots of compassionate service to many in need and was tireless in her genealogy research and performing many hours of Indexing. She developed many talents that blessed her family and many others. Jean is survived by her children; Lenore (Jack) Martin, Penny (Larry) Utley, Paul (Janine) Taylor, Ruth (Doug) Stark and Tony (Alma) Taylor, 19 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren, her brother Darrell (Joan) Bryce and sister-in-law Charlene (Robert) Good. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jess Irvin Taylor and her parents Orie & Lenore Bryce. A graveside service for Irvin and Jean will be on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 9 a.m. at the Bryce Cemetery. Military honors for Irvin will be provided by the Gila Valley Honor Guard.
