Jeanetta June Flanders Butterfield 1925 ~ 2009 Jeanetta June Flanders Butterfield passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 27, 2009. She was born in Soldier, Kansas on June 23, 1925 to Ethel and Levi Flanders. She was the youngest of nine children. She was raised in Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming and Utah. She married her lifelong sweetheart, Elwin David Butterfield, on January 3, 1947 in Salt Lake City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. From the time of their union, June and Elwin were inseparable throughout their 62 years of marriage. They shared an eternal love only one would dream of. Junes joy in life was her family. She retired from ZCMI. June was dedicated to serving in her church through various callings, mostly she was a devoted wife and mother. All who knew her, loved her. You will be missed but we know that you are now at peace until we meet again. We love you! June is survived by her husband, Elwin of Kearns; her children, Charles of Mesa, AZ; David (Brenda) of Santa Clara; Judy (Lynn) Montgomery of Sandy; James (Debbie) of Kearns, Steven ( Michelle) of Brigham City. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Beverly, Mildred, Myrtle, Neva, Rose; brothers, Arlie, Chester and Marv. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 3, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. A viewing will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
