We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Jeffery Mark Zweiacher, better known to friends and family as Jeff, on July 10, 2023. Born on April 9, 1968, in Hereford, TX, Jeffery was a man of extraordinary compassion and resilience. His generous spirit and loving nature touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark that will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jeffery was a successful business owner who passionately ran a well-loved restaurant in Safford, AZ Copper Steer Steakhouse. Despite the demands of his profession, he always prioritized his faith and family. He was a devout follower of Christ, turning to scripture for guidance and solace. Particularly fitting is the verse from Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." This verse was a guiding light for Jeffery, informing his decisions and shaping his life. He was happiest when surrounded by his family or when engaged in his favorite hobbies which included hunting, fishing, woodworking, and target shooting. Jeffery was known for his integrity, a trait that earned him respect and admiration in abundance.
Jeffery is survived by his spouse Wendy Zweiacher; his children Gary, Daniel, Kari, Harlee, Bobbi, Rusty, Christian ‘Ryder’, and Dylan, and was a father figure to many more. He is survived by 14 grandchildren and his siblings Greg Zweiacher, Janet Zweiacher, Jill O’Keefe, and Ginger Arruti. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Grace Zweiacher. The loss of Jeffery is deeply felt by his family and the many friends he made in his various places of residence including Hereford, TX, Tohatchi, NM, Gallup, NM, and Safford, AZ.
We invite you to share your fondest memories of Jeffery, and upload photos that celebrate his life and the joy he brought to others, on his memorial page. In these shared stories and images, we keep Jeffery's spirit alive, celebrating a life that was so beautifully lived and a man who will be deeply missed. Celebration of Life for Jeffery Zweiacher will be held on Monday July 24th at 10:00am at the River church.
