Jenny Avalos

Jenny Lauren Avalos, 52, of Morenci, passed away May 23, 2015. Jenny was born August 6, 1962 to Donald & Herminia Brunson in San Manuel, AZ. Jenny attended Thatcher High School. She fell in love and married Peter Avalos on August 15, 1981 in Safford, AZ. Jenny & Peter were blessed with three children; Maria in 1982, Stephanie in 1984 and Peter, Jr. in 1985. She enjoyed watching ID shows such as Joe Kenda and 48 Hours on the Discovery channel. She also liked to cross stitch and crochet. She had a love for sweets but most of all she loved being around her family, especially her grandchildren. Jenny is survived by her husband Peter Avalos, Sr., her children; Maria Avalos, Stephanie (Kent) Szymanski and Peter Avalos, Jr., her mother; Minnie Lopez, her siblings; Evelyn (Martin) Burrola, Ramona (Alfonso) Alvarado, Shelly Brunson, Junior Rios, Rick, (Rhonda) Lopez, Carlos (Jennifer) Lopez, Juan (Brit) Lopez, Carmen Lopez and Javier (Char) Lopez, and four grandchildren with one on the way. She was preceded in death by her father; Donald Brunson, siblings; Mario Lopez and Rachael Lopez and grandparents; Rosendo & Ramona Casillas and Claude & Evelyn Brunson. A Mass of Christian Burial for Jenny was held on June 1, 2015 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with interment in the Safford Cemetery.
