Biography Jesus Manuel Casillas,64, of York Valley, entered into rest on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at his home in York. He was born on January 20, 1947, in Ascension, Mexico, to Ernesto Casillas and Guadalupe Sodari. His early years were spent in Mexico. After coming to Arizona he started working in Eagle Creek as a cowboy. After an accident on the ranch, he ended up at Morenci Hospital, where he met Elisa Montoya. They were later married at Saint Marys Church in Duncan in 1973. In 1979 they were blessed with their son, Luis Manuel. Jesus enjoyed hunting, fishing, and farming. He also had his special recipe for green and red chile. He was an excellent handyman and enjoyed fixing things for his family. His happiest times where spent with his three grandkids, pushing them on the swings, taking them for walks, and teaching them to ride horses. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Elisa, son Luis Manuel (Elaine), granddaughter Jesleena, grandsons Ruben Tito and his Chanate Michael Rey. Brothers Ramon and Pancho Casillas. Sisters Aurora Pacheco, Eva Llamas, Dolores Velasquez, Aurelia Madero, and Chelo Casillas, and numerous nieces and nephews. He will forever be missed by those who loved him. Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 4, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Clifton. Viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, with Rosary recited at 7 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
