Jewell Eady

Dorothy Jewell Eady, 90 formerly of Safford passed away January 3, 2013 in Chicago, Illinois. She was born in Haughton, Louisiana to Joseph & Serena Staton. She married Alton Eady on August 22, 1942. They were blessed with four children. Their family lived all over Texas, and in Tulsa, OK while Alton worked for El Paso Pipe & Supply. After retiring in Louisiana, he and Jewell moved to Safford to be near some of their family. Alton passed away in June of 2006. She is survived by her 4 children, Alton Eady, Jr. of Tennessee, Steve Eady of Safford, Rena Ming of Arkansas, and Kay Beyer of Illinois; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband Alton, of 64 happy years together. Viewing will be from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, January 14, 2013 at the McDougal-Caldwell Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2012 at the Safford Cemetery.
