Jim Nava Cabral, 88, of Clifton, passed away August 3, 2014 in Prescott Valley, AZ. He was born May 23, 1926 to Bernardo & Maria Nava Cabral in Morenci, AZ. He served his country in the U. S. Army 41st Infantry Division from 1945 until 1947. Jim was a member of the American Legion Post 28 and the Clifton Booster Club. Some of the meaningful events in his life were being employed as an electrician at Phelps Dodge until his retirement and building a home in Clifton and a vacation home in Alpine for his then wife Jane and his 7 children. Jim is survived by his children; Martin (Della) Cabral, Santiago (Nicole) Cabral, Chata Cabral, Ricardo Cabral, Christopher Cabral, Monica Cabral, Francisco Cabral, siblings; Julia Molina, Ruth Sullivan, Dalia Rodriguez, Carmen Tellez, & Gloria Cabral, 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; Bernardo & Maria Cabral and brothers; Nino Cabral, Louis Cabral, Martin Cabral, Manuel Cabral & Nicholas Cabral. Services for Jim will be conducted Tuesday, August 12, 2014 with the viewing at 12:00 p.m., Rosary led at 1:00 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Clifton. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery following the services. A reception will follow immediately after the burial services at the American Legion Hall at Clifton Contributions can be made to the American Legion Post 28 in Clifton.
