Jimmy Elgo

Jimmy Joe Elgo, was born on March 13, 1987 in San Carlos, AZ, to the late Joseph James Elgo and Christina G. Elgo of Black Point AZ. Jimmy has 4 brothers; Mario Goseyun (deceased), Vencenti Goseyun, Jarvis Elgo, and Jarvin Elgo and two sisters; Amber Elgo and Eva Elgo, along with 9 nieces; Haley Goseyun, Adrania Goseyun, Shakara Elgo, Kristalynn Elgo, Kvliana Tellez, Julssia Tellez, Christian Tellez, Elania Elgo and Amare Talkalai and 6 nephews; Bentley Goseyun, Jayvin Elgo, Jayvis Elgo, Joseph Tellez, Keegan Shaw and Jowell Talkalai. As a kid, Jimmy attended Fort Thomas elementary and high school. He was pretty active in sports, especially football, until his accident in practice which he got hit bad to where the doctors told him he can't play anymore. Growing up, nothing could stop him, he grew up with so many friends. His main playground was at the late Vonda Lou/late Clara grandma residence where he played with his cars, trucks and his favorite was marbles. In high school, he worked as a farmer for the San Carlos Apache Tribe. After, with Safford Funeral Home of Safford, AZ. Soon after that, for Ferrin Roofing until the accident, where he cannot work no longer. After graduation, he attended Bylas Holiness Church where he sometimes preached at youth meeting and played piano from the teachings of the fellow brothers. He believed in Acts; 2:38 and always say in "Jesus name". Soon, he resided with his girlfriend, Christen Patterson, where he spent years together. Later, he resided in Black Point with his cousins and Aunt. He always had a smile on his face, very friendly. He'd help who was in need, even though he was sick. In and out of the hospital, he kept updated with Facebook to let family and friends know he was ok. He then resided in Clifton, AZ where his sisters took care of him and later moved to Thatcher, AZ where he was under Hospice. He loved his scratchers, playin casino games, spending time with family and telling everyone he loved them and always in Jesus name. Jimmy had no kids, nor wife, but he was always there for friends and family. He loved everyone so much, especially mom and dad and the late Joe & Christine Elgo. He fought up to his last breath to let us know he was going to sleep. He said "you'll never forget this smile, this laugh, remember all the good times we spent". You'll truly be missed, Bro. A Viewing & visitation will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021, beginning at 6:00 a.m. at the Bylas Holiness Church in Bylas with the funeral service being held at the Bylas Holiness Church on Monday, June 7th at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Black Point Cemetery following services.
