Joe Morales

Joe Isaac Morales, Jr., 68, of Safford, entered into rest on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 8, 1942, in Safford, to Jose Isaac Morales, Sr.and Regina Rodriguez. He married Dominga Venges at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church on January 11, 1963. Joe lived at a young age in Demming, NM, and moved to Safford at age twelve. He was a carpenter by trade and worked for many of the contractors in the valley, including; Angles Transfer's, Mike Grauer, Barragan Construction, Phelps Dodge, Community Action, Project PPEP.He was a member of the Little Hollywood Association. He was knowon as "Grandpa Joe", because he treated everybody like his own. Grandpa Joe loved spending time with the grandkids, collecting cans, selling goods, playing bingo, playing with his dogs, watching westerns, eating good food,dancing with his wife. Being around his family and friends was what he enjoyed most. The love he had for his family was infinite. He is survived by his wife, Dominga of Safford; daughters, Yolanda Marie Morales and Linda Sue Morales both of Safford; son, Marty Joseph Morales of Safford; 16 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren; Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 22, 2011 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, with Rev. Father Edward Lucero as Celebrant. Viewing will be on Sunday, August 21, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at the Caldwell Funeral Chapel, with Rosary being recited at 7 p.m. by Deacon Dr. Carl Vessels. Interment will be in the Safford Cemetery.
