John Lamar Mosley, 76, of Duncan, passed away on July 6, 2011 surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born on December 13, 1934, to Roy Samuel Mosley and Viola Ione Hicks, in Duncan. He married Jenna Brinkerhoff on December 24, 1969 in the Mesa LDS Temple. John attended schools in the Duncan area, he attended E.A.C. and then to ASU where he graduated with a Masters Degree in Education Administration. John was an outstanding teacher and educator. He loved to farm, raising goats, chickens, rabbits, cattle, and Percheron Horses. He is survived by his wife, Jenna of Duncan; son, Spencer Brinkerhoff Mosley of Duncan; sister, Shirley (Eddy) Montierth, of Safford; grandson, Trenton O'Dell of Jacksonville, FL; niece, Sammie (Doug) Roden, of Safford; nephew, Mark (Lexa) Montierth of Vail, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sammie Mosley; and brother, Roy Banks. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 11, 2011 at the Duncan LDS Stake Center. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Franklin Cemetery.
