John Richard Worrall, 79, of Safford, entered into eternal rest on November 27, 2017. He was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana on November 30, 1937 to William Alloway & Helen Corn Worrall.
The family moved to Globe, Arizona where John received his education. He decided to serve his country by enlisting in the U.S. Navy. John also served a mission at Saint Andrew in Mombasa, Africa. He later went to work in the mines where he earned a "Certified First Responder" award. On December 28, 1973 he married Tomi Pyrl Brashear in Idabel, Oklahoma. Soon the family grew into a large family with the addition of children; Neva Marie, William Melvin, John Richard, Cristy Ann, Onita, Vicki, Bill Long Jr. and Kathi.
John loved to go fishing, camping, witnessing for the Lord, spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren grow. He was most happy when he was with his loving family.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Tomi Pryl, his children; Neva Marie Caviness, William Melvin Worrall, John Richard Worrall, Cristy Ann, Onita Clark, Vicki Cloud, Bill Long, Jr. and Kathi Renick, his siblings; George Worrall, Dora Kittrell and Helen Gerdes, 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his parents William A. and Helen Marie Worrall, and brothers William A. and Donald Edward Worrall.
A memorial service for John will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the New Testament Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Randall MacDonald conducting.
