Joseph James Elgo, ada King was born November 25, 1958 to the late Josephine Dili Elgo and James Elgo. He had four sisters, Betty Robertson, Carol Victor, Darlene Pike, and Peggy Elgo; one brother, John Hackle. As a boy, Joseph attended Rice Elementary and Howard Jr. High School in Santa Barbara, California. He later attended Intermountain Indian Boarding School in Utah. In continuing his education, he attended Eastern Arizona College where he studied law enforcement police academy, but did not pursue his commitment. A few months later he met is late wife Christina Goseyun Elgo and together they had 6 children; Vencenty Goseyun, Jarvis Elgo, Jarvin Elgo, Amber Elgo, Jimmy Elgo and Eva Elgo. To support his family he worked as a firefighter in his 30s and later as a mechanic in the golf shop. He later transferred to an accountant at the Apache Gold Casino Resort for several years. He was unable to continue working and became a caregiver to his wife who was ill. To further support his family he opened a local business, Joes Tire Shop & Mechanic Repair, which he operated for the last 11 years. In his spare time, he loved being with his wife and grandkids, fixing cars, replacing motors and transmissions and everything in between. He loved being outside. Joe leaves behind many family members, brothers and sisters, friends and grandchildren. We all know he is glad to be back with his dearest wife of 33 years, Christina Goseyun Elgo. He will surely be missed. Rest in Peace Joseph Elgo. A wake will be conducted on Friday, October 4, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at the Eglo Residence. Services will be conducted on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bylas Holiness Church. Interment to follow at Black Point Cemetery.
