Joy Marshall McBride of Pima passed away February 7, 2015 in her home. She was born May 23, 1930 to Vance and Ruth Marshall. She was a loving and gracious wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. As a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she enjoyed being active in church auxiliaries. Joy attended the Gila Academy (now Eastern Arizona College) and enjoyed learning new things as a lifetime hobby. She loved reading, sewing, and cooking. One of her favorite was of the trips to Salt Lake to attend General Conference. Joy was a retired U.S. Postal Worker and also worked at the Graham County Electric Co-op for several years. Joy is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Ted McBride; her children, Nancy Curtis (Charles), Boyce Ted McBride (Diane), Marshall Ron MCBride (Gayle), and Ruth Ann Daley (Steve); 15 grandchildren, and 51 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her siblings; Linda Skaggs, Sheff Steele Marshall, Dan Miller Marshall, and Janet Hoopes. Her parents and brother, Morris Marshall preceded her in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2015, with Bishop Mike Brown officiating, at the Pima LDS Chapel, Hwy 70 in Pima. Viewing will be prior to services from 9:30 a.m. 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Pima Cemetery.
