Joyce Bettis

Joyce Ann Hunter-Bettis, 55 of Bylas, passed away November 28, 2017 in Bylas. She was born September 9, 1962 in San Carlos to Phillip Hunter Sr. & Minnie Preston Hunter. Joyce attended Our Savior's Lutheran School, East Fork High School and Fort Thomas High School. She was talented in many ways; she loved to bead, make canvas and she was the best cook. She always cooked with love for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts with the younger children, and always decorated for every holiday. She had lots of favorite music but she especially enjoyed listening to reggae music. Her idol was Bob Marley. Joyce will be missed by all her friends she made in Safford. She traveled around the United States and was a free spirited woman. She loved her family, nieces, nephews and siblings. Joyce was blessed with eight children; Burnadette, Jessica, Nandi, Jermaine, Jeremy, Cassie, Temetria and Ivan, and twenty grandchildren. A Wake will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Mormon Hill in Bylas with the funeral service on Friday, December 8th at 1:00 p.m. at the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church. Interment will be in the Middle Mesa Cemetery.
