Judith (Judie) Lincoln George, lifetime resident of Safford, passed peacefully, at her home on December 28, 2012. Her husband, John E. George, was with her. Judie was born in Safford, the seventh child of Clement Latham and Irene Robbins Lincoln, on April 13, 1938. Well known and well liked from school to adulthood, Judie is most known for owning Fifth Avenue Florist, for a number of years. She also worked as a travel agent in Safford, Tucson and Wyoming. She loved gardening, reading, and she especially loved travelling the country with John, in their RV, meeting all the different characters along the way, both two and four-legged. But her favorite pastime was cooking for friends and family. She was an excellent cook and hosted many, many get togethers, over the years. Judie is survived by her husband, John George, children Kathi Martin (Roger), of Safford, Kelly Curtis Cherry, of California, Dale Curtis (Janet), of Tucson, Mindy Curtis Hale (Mike Tomlin), of Safford, Tim George (Dianna), of California, Pamela Williamson (Bill), of New Mexico, and Darrell George (Kathy) of New Mexico, grandchildren Bridgette (Brendan), Jennifer, JD (Chelsea), Erin (Blake), Ryan (Serenity), Tyson, and eight great grandchildren. Friends and family celebrated Judies life at her home on January 1st, 2012.
