Judith Andriese

July 28, 1940 — April 10, 2008

Judith ReN Low Andriese 1940 ~ 2008 Surrounded by loved ones, Judith Andriese passed away peacefully from this life April 7, 2008, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Judy was born July 28, 1940 to Denver Low and ReN West Low in Cardston, Alberta, Canada. She immigrated to the United States in 1947, but enjoyed many summers at the family ranch near Cardston, where she learned to cook, sew and ride horseback. She remained close to her Canadian family and was proud of her Canadian heritage. Judy graduated from West High School with honors. She was a member of the Acapella Choir and sang in the Trio. She was also a member of Social Dance Club and was a journalist for the school paper. She graduated from Stephens-Henager Business College. Judy married her High School sweetheart, Lo Andriese, on February 26, 1960. They were blessed with three children: Audrey, Gigi and Eric, and eight wonderful grandchildren. With a kind heart and a thoughtful, loving way, she gently encouraged each family member to be curious, seek education and develop their talents. She dearly loved her husband, children and grandchildren and was proud of their accomplishments. In her own right, Judy was a fine seamstress, gardener, and ceramist. She also had many interests including reading, camping, swimming and spending time with family and friends. She appreciated art in all its forms. She especially enjoyed jazz and classical music. Throughout her life, music, dancing and singing brought her great joy. Judy had the pleasure of working for a variety of Kelly Services clients, such as YESCO, Microsoft, Dayna Communications, 3Comm, American Express and the Salt Palace Convention Center. Her fondest business memories came from operating her own art gallery and custom framing business. During her illness, Judy remained strong and optimistic. She was filled with faith and was grateful for her blessings, saying often, Ive had a happy life and been well loved. Family members surviving are her husband of 49 years, Lo; children, Audrey, (Brian) Schmidt, Gigi (Craig) Ream, Eric (Jolinn); brother, John Brian (Sandi) Low; grandchildren, Brandon, Ashley, Dallan (Ashley), Austin, Parker, Nicholas, Logan, Bergen. The family wishes to thank the many doctors and nurses who assisted in Moms care and especially our friends at Pinnacle Hospice for their sincere compassion and kindness. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 12, 2008, 12:00 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. A viewing will be held on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services.
